HEDWIG is LIFTING OFF !

So much is happening in the life of Hedwig Dances! As we expand our artistic vision and reach, we are counting on the support of our longstanding as well as our new friends!

Mark your calendar for the weekends of April 14-15 and April 21-22 when we will present the US premiere of Meta | Mor | Phos. Renowned LA choreographer Mike Tyus will be in residence in January to set a new work upon the company, slated to premiere in April. In tandem with our schedule of performances, we continue to promote and develop the administrative and artistic growth of our company dancers.

We’ve had a thrilling year presenting new works: Jan Bartoszek’s LightPlay and Rigo Saura’s Raw Concrete in April; and Jan’s Meta | Mor | Phos in its September world premiere and residency at the Bauhaus Museum in Germany; and an excerpted performance in the Elevate Chicago Dance Festival in October.

Audience response to our modernist and Bauhaus-inspired works has been thrilling and provides us with great energy to develop touring plans in the Midwest and Europe. These latest works extend our signature blend of unforgettable visual design with dance.
