Hedwig Dances rounds out their 41st Season, and moves with momentum into Year 42
New season, new choreographers, new works. Same commitment to creativity, collaboration, and community!
This season brings exciting new possibilities and ambitious plans. Hedwig is providing an opportunity for emerging dance-makers to create dance works that explore the relationship between objects and the moving body for our spring season. Artistic Director Jan Bartoszek will also be creating a new work this coming year.
As our fiscal year ends on August 31, we're working to raise additional funds for the season ahead. Every gift, no matter the size, helps make new artistic opportunities possible. Thank you for your continued support.
A gift of $500 helps support the video documentation of a production.
A gift of $1,000 helps support the monthly rehearsal rental.
A gift of $2,000 helps support the weekly stipend for company dancers.
A gift of $5,000 helps support one mainstage production.
Mark you calendars and join us for Season 42! We have a plethora of events and performances throughout the year, starting with the following:
- Chicago LIVE! at Navy Pier: Sunday, September 20, 2026 at 1:00 PM (East Stage) - Hedwig Dances will share excepts of Artistic Director, Jan Bartoszek's work, including "Moon Studies" and "Meta | Mor | Phos"
- Open Company Classes: Wednesdays 10:00-11:15 AM at Ruth Page - Join company dancers for open class on Wednesdays from 10:00-11:15 AM at Ruth Page Center for the Arts (1016 N Dearborn St.) starting September 30 until November 18.
- Spring Show: April 2-4, 2027 at Ruth Page - New dance makers will premiere work on the company for our spring performance, April 2-24, 2027 at Ruth Page Center for the Arts.
